Jun 18, 2009 — A nursing home in Lake Placid was fine last year more than $75,000 for shoddy care. The news was first disclosed yesterday in a report in the Adirondack Daily Enterprise. Adirondack Medical Center paid the fine after state officials investigated the death of an elderly resident at the Uihlein nursing home. As Brian Mann reports, state officials also found serious health and safety concerns at a second nursing home run by AMC in Tupper Lake.
