Deadlock continues in NY Senate

The deadlock in the New York Senate is now three weeks old. There were more negotiations and ad hoc meetings over the weekend. Including a long session between the Governor and the Democratic conference last night. There were optimistic words from some Democrats and some Republicans in the chamber over the weekend. While the lawmakers try to hammer out a power sharing agreement, Governor David Paterson has called them into session again this afternoon They also have a date in court. Today marks three weeks since Republican led coalition shocked the Democratic majority by attracting enough votes to claim majority control, triggering the dispute and continuing deadlock. Albany correspondent Karen DeWitt has been following the action and implications and spoke with Martha Foley
