Jul 20, 2009 — Roger Huntley is the sixth generation of his family to operate their 300-acre dairy farm in the town of Pierrepont. NCPR profiled Roger for Traditional Arts in Upstate New York's Meet the Masters honor roll in May 2000. He was in the prime of his career, the premier old-time auctioneer of the northern Adirondack foothills and St. Lawrence Valley. A Huntley auction was a family affair. Roger's wife Ann and six children helped him with planning and carrying out their busy schedule of sales. Their daughter Helen, an elementary school teacher, has learned the art of auctioneering from Roger and in 2000 was helping behind the microphone at nearly every auction.
