Profile of Families Along Nassau Lake: One of the State's Superfund Sites
Jul 29, 2002 — The New York State legislature adjourned for the summer without reaching an agreement with Governor Pataki on how to refinance the bankrupt state superfund. According to a study done by the Public Interest research Group, one in four New Yorkers lives near a polluted waste site. Some of these people live along Nassau Lake, in a rural area of Rensselaer County. Reporter Karen Dewitt visited there recently.
