Grand Isle, VT, Aug 21, 2009 — A new book celebrates the joys and adventures of kayaking on Lake Champlain. It offers a view of the big lake from water level. Margy Holden and Cathy Frank spent five summers paddling their kayaks around the lake and its islands. They logged more than 700 miles. Todd Moe talks with them about their book, A Kayaker's Guide to Lake Champlain. They both live on Grand Isle, and planned the trip after a casual conversation at the local grocery store. Cathy says it began with a paddle around Grand Isle.
