Champlain, NY, Sep 17, 2009 — The region's Champlain quadricentennial celebration concludes at the Crown Point State Historic Site on Saturday. The event concludes the year-long celebration of French explorer Samuel de Champlain's discovery of the lake that bears his name. It includes the re-dedication of the renovated Champlain Memorial lighthouse. Todd Moe spoke with Celine Paquette, vice chair of the Quadricentennial Commission, about this weekend's events and her commitment to de Champlain.
