Another view of local food
Lake Placid, NY, Sep 29, 2009 — Local farmers and chefs will provide the ingredients and the meal at the annual Adirondack Harvest dinner in Lake Placid tonight. The keynote speaker is noted food and restaurant consultant Clark Wolf, who started his career as a waiter on a train and has owned gourmet stores in California. He has more than 30 years of experience in the food industry and has worked with some of the world's top businesses, restaurants and chefs. He's also the author of American Cheeses: A guide to the best regional, artisan, and farmhouse cheeses. Todd Moe talks with Wolf about local and healthy food and how to move towards a more sustainable agricultural based economy in the region.
