Potsdam, NY, Oct 29, 2009 — She grew up in a small Illinois town, and is renowned for what's been called her "sumptuous voice". Soprano Christine Brewer gives a recital in Hosmer Hall at the Crane School of Music in Potsdam tonight (7:30). She's performed all over the world in concert, recital and operatic performances, including London, Chicago and New York City. Todd Moe spoke with Brewer about her musical career. She began as a violinist, went to college wanting to be a teacher and hasn't forgotten her love of working with students.
