He was sworn in on November 6 and this week Democrats gave Owens high profile appointments to the House Armed Services Committee and the Homeland Security Committee. (05/16/2014) State officials say a former town book-keeper in Altona in Clinton County embezzled $23,500 of taxpayer money. The alleged wrong-doing was found in an audit released yesterday by the New York State Comptroller's office.
