Plans to demolish the Crown Point bridge over Lake Champlain are proceeding

State officials in New York and Vermont have issued a contract to two companies to demolish the bridge across Lake Champlain between Crown Point, NY and Addison, VT. According to New York's Department of Transportation, explosives will be used to knock down the 2,000-foot long structure. No date has been set for the demolition. Brian Mann gave Martha Foley and update on the plans, and two meetings set for tomorrow in Ticonderoga.
