Ottawa, ON, Apr 28, 2010 — Close to 40 people gathered at Ottawa's Christ Church Cathedral in mid-April, for a Friday evening labyrinth walk. One way in...one way out. The concentric circles of the labyrinth are painted on the church's badminton court. The lighting is low -- 100 votive candles define the circle's outer border. The choir is settled in nearby. It's all naturally meditative. Light, music, creative expression...these Ottawa walks have been evolving for several years, thanks to two women who started out as visual artists. Lucy Martin spoke with them and fellow organizer Mike Fletcher about why the interlocking paths from centuries past continue to draw interest.
