Watertown, NY, Jun 07, 2010 — Matt Doheny has now locked up Republican nominations in nine of the 11 counties that make up New York's 23rd Congressional District. Lewis and Franklin counties decided not to endorse any candidate. This gives Doheny--a Watertown businessman--a clear advantage over Lake Placid accountant Doug Hoffman. The two will face off in a September primary. Both candidates are angling for support in their bids to unseat Democratic incumbent Bill Owens. Martha Foley has more.
