Preview: "Brush the Summer By" in Glens Falls
Glens Falls, NY, Jul 08, 2010 — This weekend, the Adirondack Theatre Festival, in Glens Falls, presents the world premiere of Hal Corley's thought-provoking play, Brush the Summer By. It's set in the Adirondacks and brings together two people, a divorcee from Maryland and a local bartender. Playwright Corley examines living in the moment and the challenges and rewards of forgiveness.
Corley, who first visited the region 20 years ago, has garnered five Emmys as a writer for TV soap operas, and two of his plays have been produced at Pendragon Theatre in Saranac Lake. He told Todd Moe that Brush the Summer By is equally parts comedy and drama.
