Sharing a winter and wilderness culture
Tupper Lake, NY, Nov 23, 2010 — A group of Finnish teachers and scientists visited Tupper Lake this month to share ideas and experiences with community leaders and environmentalists in the Adirondacks. The Wild Center hosted the international dialogue on climate change, energy issues and winter recreation as part of an exchange program with Heureka, the Finnish Science Center, near Helsinki. In February, a delegation from the Adirondacks will visit Finland. Todd Moe spoke with Mikko Myllykoski, who directs exhibition activities at Heureka, about understanding climate issues and energy in Finland and northern New York.
