How will APA chairman's departure affect Big Tupper decision?
Ray Brook, NY, Jul 28, 2011 — This month, Adirondack Park Agency chairman Curt Stiles shocked the North Country when he announced that he won't seek a second term from Governor Andrew Cuomo.
Stiles leaves office at the end of this month
That leaves the APA without its top official at a time when the Agency is
preparing to make what may be the biggest, most controversial decision of the last decade.

Commissioners are preparing to vote on a permit for the Adirondack Club and Resort, a six-thousand acre project in Tupper Lake.
As designed, the Big Tupper development would include hundreds of luxury vacation homes and condos, mansions and great camps, as well a marina, and a new ski center.
It’s the single largest development the APA has ever reviewed.
Brian Mann spoke about the situation with 8 O'clock Hour host Martha Foley.
