Plattsburgh International Airport to receive DOT Funding
Plattsburgh, NY, Aug 18, 2011 — U.S. Senators Charles E. Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand have announced Plattsburgh International Airport is set to receive about $760,000 in U.S. Department of Transportation funds to support long-term improvements.
In a press release, Schumer called the airport a “cornerstone of the North Country economy”.
The funding will initiate an assessment to evaluate the environmental impacts of a full terminal build-out. The planned project will take place over the next 30 years as part of an effort to improve capacity in the airport’s terminal building.
