Search Continues for Seth Kilburn, missing from Lake Placid since Sunday

A search is underway for a Lake Placid man who was last seen early Sunday morning.

Lake Placid village police are seeking the public's help as they look for 34-year-old Seth A. Kilburn. He was last seen leaving Wiseguys bar on School Street in the village of Lake Placid between 12:30 and 1 a.m. Sunday.

Lake Placid village police Chief Bill Moore says Kilburn’s parents reported him missing at about 12:30 Monday morning. Police believe he was on foot when he was last seen.

State Department of Environmental Conservation forest rangers searched wooded areas in and around Lake Placid Monday morning. Police are also using social media outlets like Facebook to collect information about Kilburn’s whereabouts.

Chief Moore says police are also checking with Kilburn’s bank and interviewing people who may have seen him.

Kilburn is a white male, about 5 feet, 11 inches tall, weighing 195 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue and white striped polo shirt and tan or khaki colored shorts. He also wears glasses.

The search for Kilburn will continue today.
