Feb 01, 2001 — St. Lawrence Gas Company is calling on local, county, and state politicians to support an extension project into St. Lawrence and Franklin Counties. The company is banking on partial state funding for gasline construction. It will outline its lobbying efforts at a meeting with the public, and a competing gas company, in Malone next week. As Jody Tosti reports, the expansion would bring natural gas to some smaller towns, for the first time.
