Owens supports "big deal" approach to end shutdown

Owens says he agrees with that approach.

“What would make sense to me would be to put a continuing resolution and a debt ceiling increase in place for something like 60 to 90 days and then sit down and really negotiate, if you will, that big deal that we almost had in 2011.”

Owens the “big deal” would include, among other things, cuts to Medicare for people making 250,000 dollars or more, and creating an infrastructure fund to fix roads and bridges.
