A boost to food stamps from the federal stimulus from 2009 is set to expire at the end of the month, and social service providers are bracing for a spike in demand for emergency food services. A recent poll finds that Governor Cuomo is well positioned to win re-election next year, but there are some weaknesses in the governor's generally positive numbers. Another poll finds that the positive wording of a November ballot amendment to expand gambling in New York is continuing to influence voters. Plus: a theater review of "You Fancy Yourself" from Connie Meng.
