Tradition of the fall whitetail hunt

This weekend, the regular whitetail deer hunting season got underway across the North Country.

Hunters have already been in the woods for weeks hunting turkey and bagging deer with bows and muzzleloader rifles.

This is a time of year that matters deeply to many families, a season when they put food on the table, and spend time together in the back country and at traditional hunting camps.

Back in 2002, Brian Mann profiled John and Brendan Quinn, whose family has hunted near Tupper Lake for generations.
