High Peaks Opera has been presenting programs of opera, operetta, art song, Broadway, and American songbook throughout the northern Adirondacks since 2009. Founded by bass-baritone George Cordes (www.cordesbass.com) and pianist Elizabeth Cordes, the company’s most ambitious project to date was the highly successful Opera Gala 2012: Passion in the Pines at Lake Placid Center for the Arts last summer.
