Essex County votes out 5 incumbent supervisors

Listen to this story
It was a tough night for incumbents in Essex County. Five out of six town supervisors who were on the ballot were sent packing by voters.

Sitting supervisors were ousted in Ticonderoga, Elizabethtown, Essex, Minerva, and Willsboro. Four of the five supervisors who lost their seats were women.

There is one nail-biter. Sue Montgomery Corey in Minerva, who is the Democratic Party chair in Essex County, is trailing by fewer than ten votes in her contest with challenger Stephen McNally.
