Organizers recruited volunteers, called "Santa's Helpers," who raise at least $150 before the event.

They then sing carols and collect donations from diners.

The money goes to the Vermont Respite House, Burlington Boys & Girls Club, Camp Takumta, The Last Chance Christmas Program, Spectrum Youth and Family Services, King Street Center, Women Helping Battered Women, Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf, and other groups.
