Upper Canada Village lights up for the holidays

MORRISBURG, Ont. The winter lights festival at Upper Canada Village in Morrisburg kicks off tonight and will run through January 4.

Among the attractions are more than 40 heritage buildings, massive trees and a toy train lit with over a million lights.

Visitors can ride through the site on one of the village's carry-all wagons or take a more private carriage ride through the village streets.

The village's restaurants are planning to serve more than 1800-kilograms of roast turkey during the festival.
