Listen to this story
The North Country's contingent of Olympians heading to the Sochi Games continues to grow.

Yesterday, coaches confirmed that Saranac Lake's Peter Frenette will be part of the roster for the long-distance ski jumping team.

Also, Vermontville native Bill Demong -- a 2010 gold medalist -- was confirmed to the Nordic combined team.

Over the course of the past week, Justin Olsen — the gold medal bob sled racer who lives and trains in Lake Placid— was confirmed to the bobsled team's roster.

In 2010, the North Country won roughly 1 out of 10 gold medals scored by the entire US.
He'll join the crew of a different driver this year, racing in the four-man and two-man competitions behind Nick Cunningham.

Previously, three North Country natives were named to the 10-person biathlon squad; and two sled racers from the region also help anchor the US luge team.
