Apr 23, 2014 — Music from the Romantic period will be performed at two concerts by the Orchestra of Northern New York in Potsdam and Watertown this weekend. The "Romantic Giants" concerts will include a Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 in C Minor, and Dvorak's Symphony No. 8.
Harold Levin's "Silver Overture" gets its premiere this weekend and will open the concerts. Levin is the principal violist with the Orchestra, and told Todd Moe that he wrote the overture as something special for ONNY founder and conductor Ken Andrews, and as a celebration of the Orchestra's 25th anniversary.
