Two killed by train in Verona NY

VERONA, N.Y. (AP) State police say two people have died after being hit by a train in central New York.

The Utica Observer-Dispatch reports that the man and woman were struck as they stood on tracks in the town of Verona around 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

Police said the victims were in their mid-50s but didn't release their names or further details about the incident.
