Comptroller DiNapoli says start saving your kid's college $ now

The State of New York wants you to remember that it's never too early to be thinking about your children's education. This week, the State Comptroller's office is pushing their 529 College Savings plan, which lets someone invest money in an account that's tax deductible.

And for the first time ever, they’ve released county by county numbers to show many people hold accounts, and what the value of those accounts are put together. Natasha Haverty spoke to Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli about why the counties in our region have some of the lowest enrollment in the 529 program, and his argument for changing that.
