Museum at Woodstock site focusing on the Beatles

BETHEL, N.Y. (AP) The upstate New York museum at the site of the original Woodstock concert is focusing on the Beatles this summer.

The Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in Sullivan County says it is joining with the National Council for the Social Studies to present a series of workshops that will focus on the Beatles and the band's impact.

The Beatles did not play at the Woodstock concert at Bethel in 1969, but the Museum at Bethel Woods focuses broadly on 1960s culture.

Workshops next month will explore topics including, "How the Beatles Became the Beatles," and "John Lennon and Radical Politics."

The museum is marking the 50th anniversary of the Beatles' first trip to the United States.
