Senate Passes Bill Authorizing Tax on Internet Sales

It would be more expensive to order items over the internet, under a bill in the New York State Senate that would charges sales tax on e-commerce. State Senator Betty Little was among New York's Republicans to vote in favor of the bill yesterday. She says collecting taxes from online sales could provide the state with an injection of much-needed revenues.
