Guard fighters to hold exercise over NY, VT, MA

BRATTLEBORO, Vt. (AP) Fighter planes from the 104th Air National Guard will conduct a homeland defense exercise over parts of Vermont, New York and Massachusetts.

The two F-15 Eagles will train with Civil Air Patrol flyers who will be in low-speed propeller planes in an exercise to train the Guard pilots on intercept procedures.

The flights will occur from about 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday morning. Residents in the following communities can expect to see increased activity in the air: North Adams and Williamstown, Massachusetts; Brattleboro, Bennington, Shaftsbury and Manchester Falls, Vermont; and Lake George, Cambridge, Glens Falls and Granville, New York.
