Another Refugee Crisis? Plattsburgh Braces For More Families
Mar 28, 2003 — Over the last several months, the border north of Plattsburgh has been overwhelmed by Pakistani families trying to leave the U.S. Shelters in Plattsburgh and Burlington have been full since late December. Now, activist groups in those cities are bracing for a much larger wave of asylum seekers, this one triggered by a new US-Canada immigration treaty that goes into affect on April 21st. Martha Foley talks with Brian Mann to help sort this out.
