Apr 30, 2003 — Fighting words from the governor: he called the legislature's version of the state budget "irresponsible" and vowed to fight back with vetoes and political pressure. Also yesterday, the Republican-dominated state Senate voted unanimously to override Pataki's veto of a bill delaying school budget votes. The Assembly overrode the bill Monday. It's only the second time in Pataki's eight years as governor that the legislature voted to override. Karen DeWitt reports from Albany.
