Jun 09, 2003 — Akwesasne Mohawks voted Saturday to oust the status quo and make changes in the St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Council that could also affect the Canadian-recognized council and the traditional Mohawk Nation council. Several of the chiefs-elect come from a traditionalist perspective.
