Turning to Tourism: Adirondack Towns Struggle to Make Transition
Mar 23, 2001 — Towns and villages in the Adirondacks are looking for better ways to spark local economies. For many, that means a shift away from mining and logging and a new focus on tourism. Town supervisors and economic development experts gathered Thursday in Saranac Lake to compare their efforts. For some, these are the best of times.
