Jun 19, 2003 — Two St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Chiefs and two chiefs-elect were in Albany Tuesday to urge the state legislature to validate a 1993 compact for its Akwesasne Mohawk Casino near Massena. A state Court of Appeals ruling nullified the compact last week.
