Jan 08, 2001 — Since the first film strip projectors were shipped to school districts, multimedia technology has been the hope--and sometimes, disappointmen--of educators. Technology in the classroom may not have always lived up to expectations, but a national program spearheaded by a partnership of public television stations, including Mountain Lake PBS in Plattsburgh, is looking to change that. Later this week, some North Country teachers will learn how to make technology an integral part of their lesson plans, not the latest fad to wow--or lull--students. David Sommerstein reports
