August's Night Sky: Catching Up with Mars
Aug 19, 2003 — On August 27th, the planet Mars will be closer to Earth than it has been in more than 50,000 years. Look for Mars rising in the east at twilight and setting in the west at dawn. Martha Foley talks with St. Lawrence University Astronomer Aileen O'Donoghue about our close encounter with the Red Planet.
