'Friends of Leishman Point' stand on the property they want to protect

Waddington Residents to Decide Waterfront Plans

In Waddington, on the St. Lawrence River between Ogdensburg and Massena, residents will vote in the first contested town races since 1991. The political action has been sparked by disputes over development of the town's waterfront. Next week, the town will hold a special referendum on whether to build private homes on undeveloped riverside property. As David Sommerstein reports, the vote could be a preview for the general election.
