Nov 17, 2003 — The Peru Indians are one of the North Country's most powerful high school football teams. They won the state championship two years ago. On Saturday, Peru performed another miracle, winning the Class B state quarterfinal 43-42.
What's remarkable about this game is that Peru trailed the Lansingburgh Knights by twenty-two points with just a few minutes left in the game. Brian Mann spoke with Peru coach Larry Ewald.
