Meet the Masters: Veronica Terrillion, Sculptor, Indian River

Listen to this story
Folk artist Veronica Terrillion created a remarkable thing, a total environment of sculpture on her three-acre homestead in Lewis County. Surrounding her handmade house are over 400 works in concrete, including animals (zebra, deer), religious tableaux (a nativity scene and St. Francis of Assisi), and representations of her family members. We revisit this Meet the Masters profile of the artist, produced by Traditional Arts in Upstate New York, that first aired in February 2000. Veronica passed away Friday at the age of 95.
