Second Winter Storm Smacks North Country
Dec 18, 2003 — Another winter storm smacked the North Country Wednesday. As of 6:30 this morning, the storm had dropped more than ten inches of snow at the airport in Burlington, with fresh six inches in Saranac Lake and Ticonderoga. Snow combined with freezing rain and ice to snarl traffic across the region, closing a half-dozen highways -- including stretches of I-87. As Brian Mann reports, the heavy precipitation has also triggered flood watches on lakes and rivers.
