Book review: "No Fixed Points: Dance in the Twentieth Century"

Listen to this story
In the evolution of dance in the 20th century, such dancers as Isadora Duncan, Vaslav Nijinsky and Anna Pavlova were revered as artists and celebrities -- but these famous dancers were only the beginning of a hundred years of artistic revolution and revelation in dance. The story of dance from the past century is told in Nancy Reynolds and Malcolm McCormick's book, No Fixed Points: Dance in the Twentieth Century, published late last year by Yale University Press. Dr. Robin Collen, Associate Professor of Dance and Drama at SUNY Potsdam, has this review.
