Feb 24, 2004 — Last summer, North Country Public Radio reported on the case of Ansar Mahmood, a Pakistani immigrant living in the Hudson valley. Mahmood was detained shortly after 9/11 on suspicion that he was involved in terrorist activities. Those fears were quickly dispelled, but Mahmood was held on minor immigration violations. Two years later, Mahmood remains in Federal detention at a prison near Buffalo, but his case should be resolved soon. For an update, Brian Mann spoke with Susan Davies. She's with a group called the Ansar Mahmood Defense Committee, based in Hudson, New York.
