Mar 23, 2004 — On Friday, a court in Quebec cleared the way for same-sex marriages in the province. Same-sex marriages have been legal in Ontario and British Columbia since last summer. Canada has quickly become a haven for hundreds of gay and lesbian couples from the U.S. looking for a place where they can marry legally. The couple have two adopted daughters, ages 9 & 10.
