UV Disinfection of Lake Placid Wastewater Funded
Apr 06, 2004 — A sewage feud in the Adirondacks moved one step closer to resolution this week. Congressman John Sweeney says $1.4 million in federal money will go to upgrade Lake Placid's new sewage treatment plant. The money will be spent on an experimental system designed to disinfect wasterwater before it flows into the Chubb and the Ausable rivers. As Chris Knight reports, officials downstream in Wilmington welcomed the news.
