Apr 12, 2004 — One of Vermont's best music venues is closing its doors this month. The Higher Ground Concert Hall in Winooski, just outside Burlington, has featured nationally and internationally known live bands almost every night for six years. There have been rumors the Higher Ground would close for more than two years, because Winooski is renovating its downtown, including the club's building. David Sommerstein spoke with Higher Ground co-owner Alex Crothers.
