Listen to this story
Friends and family have gathered in Colchester, VT to celebrate renowned cellist Elsa Hilger's 100th birthday. Hilger was the first woman, other than a harpist, to play in a major orchestra. She joined the Philadelphia Orchestra in 1935, and played recitals in Einstein's New Jersey home. Todd Moe talked with Elsa Hilger about her remarkable career three years ago, on her 97th birthday.
