A local campaign against underage drinking begins today in St. Lawrence County. "Project Sticker Shock" targets adults who may be tempted to buy alcohol for minors. About 140 students will begin the sticker campaign today at grocery and convenience stores and alcohol retailers across the county. Ruth Fishbeck runs the St. Lawrence County Health Initiative. The idea, she says, is to place bright green warning stickers on packs of beer and wine coolers that list the penalties for providing underage drinkers with alcohol.
